(Senior) Product Manager Core Services (m/f/d)

To strengthen our Platform Unit within Product & Engineering, we are looking for a 

(Senior) Product Manager Core Services (m/f/d) 

(Hybrid in Cologne or remote in Germany / Full-time / Fixed-term contract: 17 months) 

Your responsibilities 

• Own core platform services such as APIs, authentication, authorization, and user/permission management  

• Execute product strategy for Core Services in a SaaS platform environment and ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across all products  

• Align roadmaps, dependencies, and strategic decisions with Product Leadership 

• Analyze technical KPIs (e.g., uptime, system performance) and translate them into business impact  

• Define and evolve technical standards to enable efficient, consistent product development  

• Collaborate with Engineering, Data, and Product teams to prioritize platform initiatives 

Your profile 

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or professional experience in a related field  

• Proven professional experience as a Product Manager in SaaS or platform environments or similar and experience with KPI-driven product management and data-informed decision-making 

• Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, and scalable architectures  

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and analytics/monitoring tools  

• A proactive, solutions-driven personality with strong communication and organizational skills – and a structured hands-on mentality  

• Business fluent English skills; German is a plus
